Ruud, Mensik and Machac discuss Rafa, favourite players, languages and more

Casper Ruud, Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik have been three of the most successful players in 2025, each winning ATP titles and being big forces in UTS.
After winning the first ever UTS Nimes in early April, Ruud really found his feet in the European clay-court season, winning his first Masters 1000 title on the surface in Madrid and then reaching the semis in Rome.
Mensik picked up his first Masters 1000 title in Miami, a brilliant performance culminating in a victory over Novak Djokovic in the final. Machac triumphed in the first UTS event of the year, in Guadalajara and stands on the verge of the world’s top 20.
All three men were in Guadalajara in February and took part in another fun edition of “All on the Table”, sitting down for dinner and discussing a number of subjects including how Rafael Nadal became a lefty, their UTS nicknames, favourite players, ideas for new rules, memories of juniors and Andy Murray.
Ruud said Nadal’s record of 14 Grand Slam titles is probably impossible to reach. “I don’t think his record will ever be broken, maybe not in our lifetime,” Ruud says. “Yeah, it’s not possible,” Machac says, while Ruud tells Mensik he would have to start winning now to even have a chance.
Machac reveals his dislike of the no-let rule, while all three reminsice about Andy Murray, how difficult an opponent he was and how long he was able to play.
