Style and personality
Ask any tennis player or fan, and they’ll tell you de Minaur is one of the fastest players to ever set foot on a tennis court. It’s no surprises then that his style is based around this strength, with The Demon relying on his incredible court coverage to execute the kind of defence that forces errors from opponents. As with any Aussie, he’s a pretty likable guy too.
Career
De Minaur has quietly gone about his work so far in his career. As arguably the most under-rated player in the ATP Tour top 20, he has seven titles to his name at only 24 years old. Some would say he’s spent far too much time in the shadow of more flashy players his age, and deserves to be getting more of the limelight with his ranking on the brink of being top 10.
UTS History
UTS3 2020: Alex de Minaur won the third edition of UTS in 2021, in Antwerp. He beat Dan Evans, Pablo Andujar and Richard Gasquet to lift the Zeus trophy.
UTS Oslo 2024: Finalist
