STYLE AND PERSONALITY

Goffin plays right-handed, utilising a two-handed backhand. The Belgian is widely recognised as a baseline player, with powerful, aggressive play conducted from the back of the court. His two-handed backhand down the line is his best shot, but he is an accomplished shot-maker off both wings, while his forecourt net play is generally considered his weakest area.

CAREER

Goffin has reached a career-high of seventh in the world, achieved in November 2017. He has reached four Grand Slam quarter-finals, but never progressed past that stage. He has won 6 ATP titles, as well as reaching a Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati. Goffin also reached the ATP Finals final in 2017 and has collected 19 wins over top-10 players, including 3 over the world No 1. His most recent impressive achievement was a run to the last eight in Shanghai, where he took out Alexander Zverev along the way.
