Since the opening of the ticket office last Friday, 8,000 tickets have been sold for the Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes – second stage of the 2025 UTS Tour after Guadalajara – a record for the organisation. Many categories of tickets are already almost sold out, being especially in high demand for the semi-finals, the final, and the two classification matches which will be played on Saturday 5 April.

“Tickets were snapped up within hours of being online, testifying both to the enthusiasm for tennis in the region and to the magic of a unique and emblematic location. The innovative concept of the UTS has been a huge success, especially among young people, and fully fulfils its objective of attracting new fans for our sport. It is a great pride to be able to bring this innovative vision of international tennis here in France. Co-designed with Bastide Médical and the city of Nîmes, this project marks the return of high-level tennis in the mythical setting of the Arènes de Nîmes,” says Patrick Mouratoglou, founder of the event.

Indeed, for the first day of the event (Friday April 4th), 85% of tickets in category 1 seating have been sold, with nearly 50% of category 2 seating also being snapped up by ticket buyers. 80% of tickets in category 3 still remain for anyone who wishes to see the stars in action. For the final day of the event, a stunning 97% of seats in category one have already been sold, with this extending to 98% of all category 2 seating already being sold. Meanwhile, only 30% of seating remains for category 3 seating on Saturday April 5th.

An ambitious project, the Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes will pit eight of the best players in the world against each other six weeks before the next edition of Roland Garros. French No 1 Ugo Humbert and former Roland-Garros semi-finalist Gaël Monfils have already confirmed their participation, as well as Norway’s Casper Ruud (three-time Grand Slam finalist) and Russia’s Andrey Rublev (winner of two clay Masters 1000s, in Monte-Carlo and Madrid). The other four participants will be announced by the end of the 2024 season.

The Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes will be the second stage of the UTS Tour 2025 after UTS Guadalajara, which will be contested on the hard courts of Mexico (February 14-16). Endowed with 1 million dollars, the Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes will mark the return of tennis to the Arènes de Nîmes, an amphitheatre built in the first century, which is associated with one of the most intense moments in the history of French tennis – the 1991 Davis Cup quarter-final between France and Australia. UTS is broadcast by the world’s biggest sports channels and has already reached hundreds of millions of tennis fans around the world on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
