Two more world-class players will take to the clay of the Nîmes Arenas next April: Bulgarian star Grigor Dimitrov and Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the latter making his UTS debut.

Grigor Dimitrov is one of the most popular players on the international circuit, renowned for his elegant style and a one-handed backhand reminiscent of Roger Federer. No stranger to the UTS format, Dimitrov reached the final of the Frankfurt leg in 2023, competing in one of the most intense matches in UTS history against Andrey Rublev.

World No. 14 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina will take on the nickname “The Bull” for his first UTS appearance – a nod to the explosive game and character that are sure to electrify the French fans.

Dimitrov and Davidovich Fokina join an already high-caliber field for this competition, which serves as the clay court season opener at the legendary Nîmes Arenas. Their participation follows the previously announced lineup featuring defending champion and two-time Roland-Garros finalist Casper Ruud, Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime, Russia’s Andrey Rublev, France’s Ugo Humbert, and Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.

With these new signings, Bastide UTS Nîmes boasts an exceptional field including:

  • Five Top 15 players: Auger-Aliassime, Bublik, Ruud, Rublev, and Davidovich Fokina.

  • A tennis legend: Grigor Dimitrov, former world No. 3 and ATP Finals champion, whose “dream tennis” famously saw him sweep aside Carlos Alcaraz in a memorable 2024 Miami encounter.

  • A French powerhouse: Ugo Humbert, UTS Frankfurt 2024 finalist and 2025 UTS Grand Final semi-finalist in London.

Together, these seven champions boast a total of 66 ATP titles. Their presence cements Bastide UTS Nîmes as a major kickoff event for the clay season leading into Monte-Carlo, Madrid, Rome, and Roland-Garros.

Given the elite level of the field and memories of the sold-out 2025 edition, the event is poised for another massive success. 15,000 tickets have already been sold with two months still to go.

Saturday, April 4—the day of the Final Four (semi-finals, final, and classification matches)—is nearly sold out, with only a few unreserved seats remaining in the upper tiers. Sales for the quarter-finals on Friday, April 3, are also accelerating.

The eighth player to complete the lineup, as well as the quarter-final draw, will be revealed in the coming days. All ticket holders are guaranteed to see all eight players in action across both Friday and Saturday.
