The Bublik Enemy takes title and makes history in Montpellier

Alexander “The Bublik Enemy” Bublik won his fourth ATP Tour title – his first of 2024 – with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 win at the Open Sud de France in Montpellier over Borna Coric.
But The Bublik Enemy was almost his own worst enemy – letting slip a 4-1 lead in the first set to give himself a mammoth comeback task.
Of course – as fans of UTS will know – he refused to give in, and for the fourth time this week he bounced back from a set down to take the win.
It makes him the first man in ATP history to win a tournament having lost the first set of every single match he played.
When the new rankings are released on Monday, Bublik will be at a new career high of world No 23.
And next weekend he will be in Oslo ready for the first edition of the 2024 UTS Tour.
