The Hotshot Fritz defends Delray Beach title
Taylor “The Hotshot” Fritz successfully defended his title at the Delray Beach Open, beating Tommy Paul 6-2, 6-3 in the final.
The American won the crown last year – again as top seed – and has now won his last six ATP Tour finals, seventh overall.
Fritz is the second man in tournament history to win consecutive titles, joining Jason Stoltenberg, who won in 1996 and 1997.
In 2023, The Hotshot also reached the final of UTS Los Angeles, going two quarters up but ultimately losing 11-16, 7-20, 12-11, 16-9, 2-0 in sudden death to Wu “The Great Wall” Yibing.
