Andrey “Rublo” Rublev and Alex “The Demon” De Minaur are set for a rematch of their epic UTS Oslo final encounter when they meet in the quarter-finals of Rotterdam.

Just five days after facing off in a captivating showpiece match in the Norwegian capital, the pair will meet again – this time, for a place in the lase four of the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam.

Rublo defeated The Demon 14-16, 17-10, 16-13, 20-12 on Sunday to add the UTS Oslo title to the one he won in Frankfurt last year.

The Australian will be out for revenge as he takes on the two-time UTS champion for a second time in a week, with the two also having met in the fourth round of the Australian Open in January.

The last time two recent UTS finalists met so soon after a final was just last summer, when Taylor “The Hotshot” Fritz took on Yibing “The Wall” Wu in Atlanta just four days after having beaten him to the Zeus Trophy in Los Angeles.

On that occasion, it was the Hotshot who again came out on top, beating The Wall in straight sets.

After such a close encounter in Oslo, however, as well as a five-set epic in Melbourne, Rublo will be well aware that The Demon will be out for settle some old scores as a UTS rivalry once again carries itself over to the regular tour.
