The Ice Man to face The Power in Madrid final
Two UTS rivals will meet on Sunday as Casper “The Ice Man” Ruud will take on Jack “The Power” Draper in the final of the Mutua Madrid Open.
Ruud beat Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 7-5 in Friday’s first semi-final, while Draper was victorious in an enthralling clash with “The Illusionist” Lorenzo Musetti, 6-3, 7-6 (4).

The Ice Man has lost his previous two finals at Masters 1000 level and is hoping third time is a charm – while The Power won Indian Wells earlier this year for his first Masters title.
The two have never met on the ATP Tour previously.
They have, however, played on the UTS Tour, at the 2023 Grand Final in London, when they met in the Final Four. Draper won that day en route to the title, winning a close encounter by three quarters to none, 14-13, 12-11, 14-13.
Ruud won his maiden UTS title at the 2025 Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes.
