Machac, Mensik and Mannarino to star at UTS Guadalajara; groups announced

Czech sensations Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik join the UTS roster for 2025 – along with French standout Adrian Mannarino!
After a stellar 2024, in which he won Olympic gold in Paris and achieved his best results in all four Grand Slams, 24-year-old Machac will star in UTS Guadalajara, with the nickname “Air Machete”.
He will be joined by teenage compatriot Mensik, to be known as “Menimal”, who reached the US Open third round for the second consecutive year in 2024.
And the veteran Mannarino rounds out the new additions.
They join an impressive line-up including Thanasi “Kokki” Kokkinakis; former Wimbledon finalist Nick “King” Kyrgios; Casper Ruud, “The Ice Man” a three-time runner-up in Grand Slams; “Shapo” Denis Shapovalov, a former Wimbledon semi-finalist; and Flavio Cobolli, “Il Gladiatore”, the rising young star of Italian tennis.
The eight players will be split into two groups of four, with a seed in each:
Group A:
- Casper Ruud (seed 1)
- Nick Kyrgios
- Denis Shapovalov
- Adrian Mannarino
Group B:
- Tomas Machac (seed 2)
- Flavio Cobolli
- Thanasi Kokkinakis
- Jakub Mensik
The players will compete for a $1.4 million prize money purse. The winner of UTS Guadalajara will take home $420,000.
This is the first time the UTS Tour has been in Latin America and it all happens on February 14th – 16th. The innovative, fast-paced tennis league, founded by Patrick Mouratoglou, will make a stop at the main court of the Centro Panamericano de Tenis in Guadalajara.
