Nîmes to stage UTS event in April 2025 with Bastide Médical
The UTS is returning to France!
Eight of the world’s top players, including Andrey “Rublo” Rublev and Casper “The Ice Man” Ruud will play the $1 million “Bastide Medical UTS Nîmes” in April 2025, heralding the start of the European clay-court season.
It will be the first UTS event in France since 2021 and the first time the country has staged a UTS event open to the public.
Gael “La Monf” Monfils and Ugo “The Commander” Humbert are also confirmed starters for the event, which will be held at les Arenes de Nimes on April 4 and 5. Four more players will be named in due course.
Les Arenes de Nîmes, a 1st-century amphitheatre, is an iconic venue in French sport, having staged several sporting events in the past, including France’s Davis Cup quarter-final win over Australia in 1991.
The two-day event will be played in a knockout format, with the quarter-finals on April 4 and the semi-finals and final on April 5.
The winner of Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes will be guaranteed a place in the season-ending UTS Grand Final in London.
