UTS heads to New York with Kyrgios, Rublev, Ruud, and De Minaur

Tennis like never before returns to the USA this August as the UTS Tour stops off at a legendary venue for its second event of 2024.

And UTS New York will be hosted by a legendary venue, the Forest Hills Stadium – the former venue for the US Open.

It’ll all take place on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August, with Nick “King” Kyrgios expected to return to the court alongside UTS Oslo champion Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, plus Top 10 stars Casper “The Ice Man” Ruud and Alex “The Demon” de Minaur along with French showman Gael “La Monf” Monfils – all competing for a prize-money pool of $1 million.

UTS boasts a thrillingly innovative format and a disruptive set of rules designed to create short, action-packed matches, played in a noisy, fun atmosphere.

This event runs over two days rather than the usual three, meaning that US audiences will get to see a newly adapted format of the UTS Tour they’ve come to love. Eight players will compete in a single elimination bracket – through quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.

And if a player is knocked out in the quarter-final, he’ll still get to play a second match – a classification match to give him the chance to gain more UTS points to boost him up the rankings and improve his chances of qualifying for the end-of-year UTS Grand Final (6-8 December).

Tickets for UTS New York go on sale on Friday 22 March and can be purchased directly from www.uts.live.
