Hometown hero Casper “The Ice Man” Ruud leads the quartet of players who will contest the UTS Oslo Final Four on Sunday.

Ruud finished the round-robin stage unbeaten with wins on Day Two over Alexander “The Bublik Enemy” Bublik and Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, “The Junior”, a replacement for Dominic Thiem.

In a match that will start at 12.30pm local time, he will face Alex “The Demon” de Minaur in the Final Four, who lost to UTS Frankfurt champion Andrey “Rublo” Rublev but defeated Benoit Paire, The Rebel, in sudden death, 15-19, 15-16, 19-11, 14-13, 2-0.

Rublev and Bublik will face each other – with The Bublik Enemy’s progression confirmed after a 3-0 walkover win awarded as Holger Rune, The Viking, withdrew from the event through illness. Rublev – Bublik is scheduled as the second match of the day, at 1.30pm.

Rublo finished Saturday’s round-robin action with a 18-14, 15-18, 20-9, 17-11 win over Lucas “The French Flair” Pouille – meaning he also goes into the Final Four with a perfect record thus far in Oslo. Rublo has as yet never failed to reach the Final Four in three participations at UTS.

Rublev finishes on top of Group B with de Minaur in second place, and Ruud heads Group A with Bublik second.

The final will start at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. The very last tickets for the Final Four are available here.
