Shelton completes line-up for Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes
Ben “The Mountain” Shelton is the eighth player announced to compete at Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes – meaning the event’s line-up is now set.
He joins Ugo “The Commander” Humbert, Gael “La Monf” Monfils, “The Ice Man” Casper Ruud, Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, “The Hotshot” Taylor Fritz, Holger “The Viking” Rune and “The Demon” Alex de Minaur in the field.
It will be his third UTS competition – and he will be looking for his second title, after his triumph in Frankfurt last year, when he beat Humbert in the final. It followed his run to the semi-finals in his 2023 debut in Los Angeles, when he lost in the Final Four to Wu Yibing, otherwise known as “The Great Wall”.
Shelton – currently ranked world No 14 – reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open in January 2025.
